Welcome home, Misfit Seekers!

Our mission is to hold space for Psychedelic Buddhism. We promote a non-sectarian, non-traditional approach that values the spiritual efficacy of psychedelics on the Path, as well as great music and art.

Psychedelic Sangha was established in 2018 by Doc Kelley, Erik Davis, and Ethan Covey. Its original members also included Lama Mike Crowley, D. E. Osto, Ph.D., Kilian Ganly, Tomas Sander, Kiana McCourt, and Mike Fowler. Tomas also presently co-hosts our Speakers Series and co-organizes the annual conference alongside Doc, David Newberry, and Matthew Heston.

Over the years, we have been fortunate to collaborate with several extraordinary artists, scholars, and practitioners.

We are proud to have hosted events featuring Anne Waldman, Dr. Robert A. F. Thurman, Stephen Batchelor, Lama Liz Monson, Lama Justin von Bujdoss, Lama Rod Owens, Jesse Jarnow, the Allen Ginsberg Estate, the Jordan Belson Estate, Raymond Foye, Garcia Peoples (band), Macrodose light show, Isaiah Mitchell (Earthless), Chris Robinson (the Black Crowes), Arik Moonhawk Roper, Elkhorn, Scott Metzger, Pranacrafter, Kendraplex, Chris Dingman, Yosuh Jones, Dr. Erica Rosenberg, Dr. Katherine MacLean, Spring Washam, and several other amazing individuals and groups.

Check out our video archive to see some recordings from past events.

Psychedelic Sangha began hosting events at Magick City, a small venue in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. During the pandemic, we continued operating, but only at larger venues such as Judson Memorial Church and Weylin—where social distancing was easier to maintain. Presently, we continue to hold space at Judson, as well as Tibet House NYC, The New School University, and Sparrow Funeral Home.

Outside New York City, we hold space at venues in California, including Alembic in Berkeley and the Philosophical Research Institute (PRS) in Los Angeles.

In 2024, we launched Dharma Art Productions to manage our music publishing. You can find our published works on Bandcamp.
